Dayton, Ohio · Miami Chapel & DeSoto Bass
Where potential meets purpose — and neither is left behind.
Empowering Miami Chapel and DeSoto Bass through Education, Health, and Community — delivering the infrastructure, mentorship, and sustained support that transforms trajectories permanently.
Who We Are
Caring For Love1 (CFL1) is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization headquartered in Dayton, Ohio. Serving the Miami Chapel and DeSoto Bass neighborhoods, CFL1 delivers a four-pillar wraparound ecosystem designed to permanently close the opportunity gap between underserved youth and their highest potential. A permanent community anchor facility in West Dayton is currently in predevelopment — building the infrastructure to match the depth of the mission.
CFL1 doesn't offer programs. It engineers futures.
"No zip code should determine a young person's ceiling. CFL1 exists to make that a permanent truth — not an aspiration — for every youth we serve in Dayton, and eventually nationwide. That is my vision, and I am determined and committed to this for this generation and the next."
— Ryan Harris · Founder & President, CFL1

Our Mission & About
A full-spectrum youth development ecosystem operating in the heart of Dayton, Ohio — delivering the infrastructure, education, safety, and family support that change trajectories permanently.
Our Mission
Caring For Love1 transforms the trajectory of underserved youth in Dayton, Ohio by delivering a comprehensive wraparound ecosystem — anchoring every young person in academic excellence, technological fluency, personal safety, and family stability, so that no zip code determines their ceiling.
Program Architecture
Pillar One
CFL1 puts elite academic pathways within reach of every participant. Through seven proven, tuition-free Ivy League preparation platforms, structured SAT/ACT coaching, essay guidance, and one-on-one college counseling, we convert college aspiration into college admission — for youth who never had a roadmap until now.
Pillar Two
Delivered through Harvard's free CS50 curriculum and Microsoft TEALS volunteer instructors, this pillar equips youth with industry-grade computer science, artificial intelligence, and coding skills. We train the next generation of technologists from communities that the industry has overlooked for too long.
Pillar Three
The largest investment in our program architecture, this pillar directly confronts the conditions that expose youth to gang involvement, trauma, and incarceration. Through evidence-based intervention, street outreach, mentorship, and crisis-response coordination, CFL1 actively disrupts cycles of violence before they become life sentences.
Pillar Four
Youth don't exist in isolation — and neither does CFL1's support. This pillar delivers case management, housing stability resources, health access navigation, and family coaching to address the household conditions that dictate whether a young person can succeed. Stability at home unlocks everything else.
Founder & President
Founder · President · Building Sponsor
Ryan Harris didn't build Caring For Love1 from a boardroom — she built it from the ground up, block by block, in the communities she refused to stop believing in. As a lifelong advocate for underserved youth in Dayton's Miami Chapel and DeSoto Bass neighborhoods, Ryan recognized that fragmented, siloed programs were failing the young people who needed the most comprehensive support. In May 2025, she incorporated CFL1 as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit with a singular mandate: build a wraparound ecosystem powerful enough to close the gap between where these youth are and where they deserve to be. Ryan's commitment runs deeper than founder status — she serves simultaneously as the building sponsor of the planned McCall Community Anchor, personally committed to eliminating facility overhead costs so that every dollar directed toward youth goes directly into programs. Her dual role as founder and facility sponsor represents exactly the kind of skin-in-the-game leadership that funders can trust and communities can count on.
Caring For Love1 is a registered 501(c)(3) tax-exempt nonprofit organization incorporated in the State of Ohio in May 2025. All donations are tax-deductible to the full extent permitted by law. CFL1 operates with full IRS compliance, governing board oversight, and transparent financial reporting. Funders, donors, and institutional partners may request organizational documentation, EIN verification, and program financials upon inquiry.
Our Future Home
CFL1 is in active predevelopment on a permanent community anchor facility in the McCall Street corridor of West Dayton — purpose-built to house every dimension of our mission in the heart of the neighborhoods we serve.

The Vision
From day one, CFL1 has been intentional about where it plants its roots. The McCall Street corridor in West Dayton is not a compromise — it is the exact community where our mission belongs. It is where the young people we serve live, where the need is greatest, and where the impact of a permanent, community-controlled anchor will be felt most directly.
CFL1 is currently in the predevelopment phase — conducting site work, building institutional relationships, and assembling the organizational infrastructure required to bring this vision to life. Our programs are active. Our community relationships are deep. This facility is the next chapter.
When complete, this anchor will house all four of CFL1's program pillars under one roof — giving youth, families, and the broader community a permanent address for support, opportunity, and connection.
Project Status
CFL1 is actively developing its permanent community anchor facility in West Dayton.
Why This Corridor
The Miami Chapel and DeSoto Bass neighborhoods represent some of Dayton's most persistently underserved communities — areas where youth face concentrated barriers to education, healthcare, economic opportunity, and safety. CFL1 did not choose this corridor for convenience. We chose it because it is where our mission is most needed and where community-rooted investment is most overdue.
The McCall Street service area carries active federal designations that formally recognize the depth of need in this community. These designations exist because the data demands it — and they position any sustained investment in this corridor for meaningful institutional and governmental support. We are not guessing about the need. The federal government has measured and verified it.
CFL1's community relationships in Miami Chapel and DeSoto Bass precede any brick and mortar. Our credibility in these neighborhoods is earned — through presence, consistency, and genuine investment in the people who live here. The facility formalizes what is already true: CFL1 is committed to this community for the long term.
CFL1's anchor will be community-controlled from the ground up. Our organizational model is designed to ensure that when this neighborhood grows in value — as it will — the people who have always lived and worked here are not displaced by that growth. The anchor is a stabilization tool, not a speculative asset. It belongs to the community it serves.
Our Commitment
CFL1's programs do not wait for a building. Youth are being served, relationships are being built, and community trust is being earned right now — in the neighborhoods this anchor will one day call home.
The predevelopment process is underway. Site work is in progress. Institutional partnerships are being cultivated. When this facility opens, it will open into a community that has already been invested in — not one being discovered for the first time.
CFL1's four-pillar ecosystem is active and serving youth in Miami Chapel and DeSoto Bass while the permanent anchor facility is developed.
Site planning, institutional partnership development, and organizational infrastructure are actively being assembled to bring this facility to life.
The anchor will be owned and operated by CFL1 — a community-controlled 501(c)(3) — ensuring long-term accountability to the neighborhoods it serves.
